Like yourself I was once a HJTT. I won for my county in NJ in 1992. (Bergen County. And was 2nd runner-up for the state of NJ. Now I direct the pageant for Texas which is where I live now with my husband and 1 year old daughter. I am writing because the Texas HJTT pageant will be in May this year and this is my first time Directing the pageant. | I just want to say...: | Hey, I think you are a lovely talented lady I admire the roles you have done and I am grateful God placed you on my heart. At least I think he did because I had not seen either of the last two Matrix movies even though my husband bought them. You came to mind because my daughter is in need. She is a sweet person who has dreamed of becoming a doctor since kindergarden and been on the honor roll from then till now. She is now a junior at Eastern Michigan or was till she had to leave school this semister because we have maxed out on loans for her to finish. She is constantly applying for scholarships and I try to encourage her in her faith that God will give her her dream, but I feel bad that I was unable to save money for college. I was a single mom with credit to get a car a house and then I got a husband who was best at spending money and ruining my credit. I am in a dilemma because two things came to mind and I want to follow God,s leading so I am not sure which he wants me to do? You came to mind to ask for a loan in order for Demetria to finish college. Also the thought came to mind to quit my job and take out enough from my retirement for Demetria to finish college and try to role over the rest so that I can still have a retirement income in ten years I have 20 years in as a teacher. When this thought first came to me I knew it meant I would have to start from scratch in my career I was not afraid so I thought this was the sign that this is what God wanted me to do. Then you came to mind now I am a little confused so your response to this letter will help me know what to do. God bless you with whatever you feel lead to do you are in my prayers. fan of yours? I watched movies, and t.v. Do you like the Patriots or any
sports, is because they won today? the score was 24 to 14, I do know and
now i don't know what was the score is. So now they are going to the superbowl.
I am so glad that they won. And I also think you are a great actress. I also
work at two jobs one at the Market Basket, and another one is at the Day
Care. I really love both jobs. everyone is so nice to me. I have to go now

the basket ball pratice is on wednesday's only. and plus, I still do the
swim team. the first one is the backstroke, front crawl, and the relay. it
is also fun going to the special Olympics. they everything at the olympia
town. The swim pratice doesn't start until 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. And the special
olympics doesn't start until June 14-16. I am so excited to go for the special

| I just want to say...: | I am looking for information from an episode of A Different World where
the actors were celebrating black history month. The actors all dressed up
as a famous African- American person who contributed to this society. This was the first time I ever heard the first U.S. President PRIOR to George Washington was Creo. When they found out he was African-American documents were destroyed and another election was held and George Washington was elected. This particular episode was not repeated enough for me to write down the information and I have been unable to find out who this man was from my research. I felt this was the best way to find it is from either one of the actors/actresses from the series or perhaps a fan may know about this. So can anyone out there help a sista out? |

| I just want to say...: | Hi Jada, I just read your article in the recent Essense Magazine about your new publishing company call Pretty Smart Books. I've been in the military for eighteen years traveling on various ships. I've been writing a book covering my experiences in the military as a black female, mother and wife. It would blow my mind to have my book published with your company due to my deep admiration for you. You are smart, beautiful and well respected in the industry and I'm sure, have been through a lot. I may not be famous but I firmly believe that we all have a story to be told. I've been through a lot and have seem more than the average. If it's possible, I would like to get more information on your publishing company. My story is one you don't want to pass up. Thanks for your time and consideration. |
